Up until the end of the Revolutionary War, Kings and the Queens ruled the world and the people were merely their subjects. The American colonists created a nation where “We the People” became the sovereigns. In the Declaration of Independence it was announced to the world that all men and women were endowed by their creator with unalienable rights. The Founding Fathers stated that governments were instituted among men to protect the people and their God given rights.
They believed that a person’s rights and their property were sacred and were to be protected by the government they had created. They understood that in order for the government to do it’s job it would need to collect taxes from the people. They also knew that by giving the government the power to tax, they were also putting their lives, their liberty and their property in jeopardy. They knew that any government that had the power to tax would also have the power to abuse the people. They knew that every government in the history of the world has become corrupted over time. To prevent this from happen in our couintry a Constitution was written with the purpose of limiting the power of the government and to prevent the usurpation of power that they had experience under King George III.
The Founders beleived that every man and woman was to be Kings and Queens with dominion of their lives and their property. They believed that the government was to be their servant. They believed that individually and collectively, we had the right to invite people from foreign lands to come to America and share with them the blessings of liberty. Individuals that were willing to accept our culture, our language and were willing to obey our laws were welcomed with open arms. After a period of time these immigrants were granted citizenship and earned the right to vote.
Individuals that enter our counrty without permission are not immigrants, they are trespassers and are violating our laws. These individuals are like leaches that attach themselves to their host and steal from their host the fruits of their labor. For our government to offer FREE medical care, FREE housing and FREE education to these criminals is absurd, Rather than punishing the criminals we are subsidizing them with money collecting from law abiding citizens. Why should the citizens and legal immigrants be required to reward those that have crossed our borders without an invitation?
Americans have been the most generous nation on the face of the earth. Requiring immigrants to enter our country legally is not an act of hatred, it is simply what sovereign nations do to protect their rights and property of their citizens. To allow an unlimited number of people to cross our borders without invitations is like allowing people without invitations to attend a dinner party in the White House.
